Car Forwarding with the Gorre Peddler

The Port yard engineer has assembled the Gorre Peddler's consist.  2-6-6-2

#38 has been serviced and is sitting at the water tower at Port.

Couple #38 to it’s consist.

Using the waybill prepared for the Gorre Peddler's westbound run (waybill

01) proceed to Gorre.

While #38 is being serviced at Gorre, the branch engineer at Gorre spots

the incoming cars and set out cars to be returned to Port by the Peddler

(switch list 01).

Using the waybill prepared for the Gorre Peddler's westbound run (waybill

02) return to Port and uncouple #38 for servicing.

While #38 is being service the yard engineer spots the incoming cars and

those to be send to Great Divide by fast freight (switch list 02).

Approximate time to complete: 2 hours. (You may pause and resume at any

point.)

Rules of the Road

Freight trains travel at a maximum of 9 MPH, 6 MPH within yard limits.

2-6-6-2 #38 can pull only 13 cars up the grade (i.e., from Squawbottom to

Cross Junction).

Cars once set out must remain at a location until the Gorre Peddler returns.

Upon leaving a location set the turnout to the main line.
