Linking Background File to TrainPlayer File

The name of the background image file is encoded into the TrainPlayer

(.rrw) file.

If the background does not appear upon opening the TrainPlayer file you

will need to edit the TrainPlayer file.

Editing the TrainPlayer File to Link Background File (Windows)

Open TrainPlayer file “GP 01 Gorre peddler 01 RP.rrw” with TrainPlayer.

Open “File”  “Preference”. Select the tab “Layout”. Expand the “Layout

Properties” box so that you can see all of the file “Path”.

(e.g., “C:\Users\McGregorPoplar\Desktop\Ian's Folder\Gorre Peddler\GP 01

Gorre Peddler 01 RP.rrw”)

Close the Layout Properties box then the TrainPlayer file.

Open a text editor such as NotePad.

Open the TrainPlayer file “GP 01 Gorre peddler 01 RP.rrw” in the text editor

(e.g., Notepad).

Locate the bitmap address in the second line(e.g., bitmap="/Volumes/LaCie

Disk/John Allen's GD RR/GD >August 6, 2008/TrainPlayer/

Incomplete.jpg").

Paste the Path string between “bitmap= “” and “/Incomplete.jpg” (e..g.,

bitmap="C:\Users\McGregorPoplar\Desktop\Ian's Folder\Gorre Peddler\GP 01

Gorre Peddler 01 RP/Incomplete.jpg”).

Remove “/GP 01 Gorre Peddler 01 RP” from the string so that it reads:

bitmap="C:\Users\McGregorPoplar\Desktop\Ian's Folder\Gorre Peddler/

Incomplete.jpg”.

Editing the TrainPlayer File to Link Background File (Macintosh)

Open the TrainPlayer file (e.g., GP 01 Gorre Peddler 01 RP.rrw) in a text

editor, such as Microsoft Word (select “Open”, then select “Open All

Document”, then the TrainPlayer document [e.g., Gorre Peddler.rrw] from

the " Gorre Peddler" folder).

Look near the top of the file for the tag “bitmap=” and change the path to

match exactly the path of the background file (e.g., bitmap="/Volumes/

LaCie Disk/TrainPlayer/Gorre Peddler/Incomplete.jpg" (i.e., the file

"Incomplete.jpg" is in the folder "Gorre Peddler" which is in folder

"TrainPlayer" on external hard drive "LaCie" which is an attached volume

"Volumes").
